MSD Blaster 2 Ignition Coil - All of the Blaster Coils are designed for improved spark output! Special 100: 1 windings are used to provide maximum build-up of voltage! These windings are held secure and kept cool in an oil filled metal canister. The tower assembly is molded of durable alkyd material due to its high dielectric characteristics while wide spaced brass primary terminals prevent the possibility of spark. There are several versions of the Blaster Coil available. All of them have the same internal specifications, but have different housings or components.
MSD Blaster 3 coils put out 45,000 V, which are 15,000 more than stock. They also have an oil-filled metal canister and will fit stock mounting brackets. The coils have a unique Power Tower that is twice as high as a standard tower. The extra distance prevents secondary arcing between the primary terminals and the coil center. The HEI-style boot and terminal keep the coil wire secure.
MSD 6ALN - 6-Pin Weathertight connector to meet NASCAR's ignition wiring rule, 20-6. 1. This special connector provides a tight, positive locking connection with individual seals to keep dirt and moisture away from each connection. All of the MSD's primary wiring meets MIL-86A specifications with special tinned conductors for superior crimps. Inside the strong cast aluminum housing, the multiple sparking CD circuits are encased in a clear two part silicone elastomer for the ultimate in vibration protection. a special clear base plate is also installed for easy tech inspection. The 6ALN has a built-in Rev Control.
Taylor Wires - .409-inch, 10.4mm diameter high performance ignition wires are available for street or track applications. "409” ignition wires provide continuous heat protection up to 600-degrees Fahrenheit and 102,000 volts dielectric strength and is recommended for extreme under hood temperatures and open wheel racing. Features a Spiral-Wound core with 350 ohms per foot resistance for EMI and RFI suppression delivering maximum fire power without radio interference and recommended for use with multiple-spark discharge and electronic ignition systems.
